Judge Amanda Parker was appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court in 2022.  She currently serves as the Presiding Family Department Judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court. Prior to serving in the Family Department, Judge Parker served in the Juvenile Department, presiding over dependency and delinquency cases.  While on the Juvenile Court rotation, Judge Parker was also one of two judicial officers who presided over STRENGTH court—a therapeutic court designed to meet the unique needs of sex-trafficked youth.

Prior to joining the bench, Judge Parker was the Bureau Chief of the Appeals and Post-Conviction Proceedings Bureau at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.  She also had the honor of clerking for United States District Court Judge Michael T. Liburdi as one of his inaugural law clerks.

Judge Parker received her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, and her undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University.
