Chapter bylaws
The governing bylaws of the Arizona Chapter of the AFCC.
Purpose
The purposes of the Association are consistent with those of the parent organization, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts:
- To improve the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict.
- To promote a collaborative approach to serving the needs of children and families among those who work in and with family law systems, encouraging education, research and innovation and identifying best practices.
- To promote an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas and the development of procedures to assist families in conflict.
- To support a network of state and provincial chapters aligned with the mission and goals of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
- To encourage the development of courts and court procedures to emphasize collaborative and effective methods for dispute resolution.
- To develop and improve the provision of services that aid in the resolution of family disputes.
- To protect the interests of children in all aspects of family law, child protection proceedings and all other legal proceedings affecting children.
