Judge Neil E. Sherman was appointed to Division V of the Coconino County Superior Court by Governor Katie Hobbs in February 2025. Judge Sherman was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and attended Arizona State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. Following graduation from Arizona State, Judge Sherman attended law school in Lansing, Michigan at the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
After graduation from law school Judge Sherman worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office representing the Department of Child Safety in child welfare actions. Following his time at the Attorney General’s Office, Judge Sherman went into private practice where he practiced family law, including dissolution of marriage, child custody matters, and a variety of other matters.
Judge Sherman’s current case load includes family law matters and guardianships.
